The Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, Japan. The ceiling inside the main hall of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building looks like electronic chip structure. The Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building is the location of the headquarters of the government of not only the 23 wards that people think of as the "city" of Tokyo, but also the cities, towns and villages that comprise Tokyo in the broader sense. Designed by the famous Japanese architect Kenzo Tange, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building is the tallest building in Tokyo, and the second-tallest structure after the Tokyo Tower.
