Close-up on the "solar sail" structure. The sail on La Seine Musicale is covered with more than 800 sq. meter of photovoltaic solar panels, rotating around the glass auditorium. The system is drived with a special algorithm optimally positioning the sail in relation to the sun throughout the day. La Seine Musicale musical complex was designed by Jean de Gastines and Japaense architect Shigeru Ban. Seguin island, Boulogne-Billancourt, France, 2017.
